A Restless Dream
It was a quiet Sunday, a day for reflection. I found myself pondering the future, the path that lay before me. If I managed to navigate the complexities of university life without dropping out, a career as a software engineer at a reputable company seemed within reach. Yet, a sense of unease lingered. While the world of software engineering intrigued me, the prospect of a traditional full-time job felt stifling. I yearned for freedom, a life lived on my own terms.
A deep-seated restlessness stirred within me. I had never felt a true sense of belonging in this world, a world of chaos and relentless haste. The suffocating weight of societal expectations left me feeling disillusioned. People, it seemed, were perpetually caught in a cycle of judgment and self-interest. Trust had become a fragile commodity, easily shattered.
A Dream Takes Shape
I knew I needed to listen to the whispers of my own heart, to break free from the constraints that bound me. I longed for a life of authenticity, a life in harmony with nature's rhythms. The wind, the water, the forest—these were my sanctuary, a place of solace where I could simply be.
As I closed my eyes, I envisioned my dream life five years into the future.
A Day in the Life of My Dream
The image that materialized was vivid, a tapestry of serenity and simple pleasures. In this idyllic vision, my days would begin with the gentle caress of dawn. The sun's golden rays would filter through the window, beckoning me to greet the new day. I would rise from my bed, breathing in the crisp morning air, infused with the delicate scent of rosemary. Stepping outside, I would be greeted by a symphony of nature's wonders—the glistening dew on the plants, the gentle murmur of the pond, the contented sounds of cows and ducks awakening to a new day.
I begin my daily routine at 5:30 AM, making my bed, performing my ablutions, and enjoying a warm glass of water. This is followed by a 15-minute meditation session on the wooden floor, allowing me to center myself for the day ahead.
The purpose of my life is not depend on others It's me I have found my joy and happiness within myself.
With bare feet, I make my way to the kitchen, where my favorite cappuccino coffee awaits. Crafted from last year's harvest, thanks to Sera's expertise, the beverage is a delight to my senses. I settle into the armchair on the front porch, sipping my coffee while immersing myself in the harmonious chorus of morning birds, a moment that has the potential to consume an hour of my time.Every morning around 6:15 am, I embark on a refreshing walk with my German Shepherd, Rocky, for our daily exercise. Our routine includes a scenic journey around my expansive homestead. I have meticulously designed a trail that winds through vegetable fields, encircles a serene pond, traverses paddy fields, and passes amidst towering coconut trees. Together, we inspect everything to ensure all is well, tending to our cows and chickens with care. As part of our morning ritual, we harvest ripe vegetables and fruits, as well as collect freshly laid eggs, ensuring a bountiful supply of fresh produce for the day.
I have a large glass refrigerator in my kitchen that was made by me and managed by Sera. That's where I stored all my fresh vegetables and meat and I also have a large dry storage room managed by Sera for rice and other dry foods.
On weekdays, after invigorating exercises, I start my day with a refreshing morning shower. On weekends, I prefer to take a leisurely noon shower around 12:00 pm.
Precisely at 7:00 am, I make my way to the bathroom, which is illuminated by natural sunlight that streams through the sunroof, casting a warm glow upon the herb garden nestled beside it. The floor, made of natural granite, feels cool and smooth beneath my feet. As I turn on the shower, the cold water envelops me, invigorating my senses and preparing me for the day ahead.
